The Mazi Project

We pray that children would not be
raised with the identity of an orphan,
but be raised as children of God.

The Mazi Project is a family and children community center, focused on the support and betterment of the vulnerable child and population. Our goal will be met through various avenues, such as information and public awareness on fostering and the needs of a community, providing essential needs (food and clothing bank), advocating and promoting social and mental well being (with a team of licensed psychologists and social workers), community gardens with fresh local produce to help support basic needs, and a cafe that fosters relationship building and growth.

Our passion for Greece awakened in 2016, when we had a dream to be a voice for the fatherless. As we started the journey of reaching the vulnerable child, we supported Abbahouse: Thessaloniki, a children’s home in Greece.  Throughout the years, as child protection laws has shifted towards family reunification and fostering, through much prayer, the model. has shifted which enables this work to be sustainable and longstanding. It will also allow us to make a bigger impact.

A holistic system of care

The Mazi Project aims to be a holistic system of care, that begins in the heart. Here’s how it works:

Family Together

Family Together

We also will have a vital role in raising awareness for fostering and continuing our “family together” program which aims to support a struggling parent to effectively care for their children.

Training

Training

We have a team of psychologists and social workers, with the goal to support children and families in need, fight for the voiceless and equip vulnerable children for tools to face life’s challenges.

Community Gardens

Community Gardens

We are RIGHT NOW in the process of planting Community Gardens that will be a sustainable gift to the community, as well as allowing the proceeds from street markets to go towards the Community Center and Family Together Programs.

Fostering Awareness

Fostering Awareness

According to research, one of the best things for a child is to be in a family. We work hard to raise awareness for fostering, making sure our children have the best chance at a good life. Raising the children in a healthy family instills family values, building secure attachment and a healthy perspective.

What is our Mission?

Our goal will be met through various avenues, such as information and public awareness on fostering and the needs of a community, providing essential needs (food and clothing bank), advocating and promoting social and mental well being (with a team of licensed psychologists and social workers), community gardens with fresh local produce to help support basic needs, and a cafe that fosters relationship building and growth. We also will have a vital role in raising awareness for fostering and continuing our “family together” program which aims to support a struggling parent to effectively care for their children.

It’s important to us for every work we support to be authentic to it’s culture and place honors the nation and people. This is why every staff member is a local citizen, fully and fairly paid. We are not just investing in children but in whole communities.

So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

1 Corinthians 3:7

Your gifts enable us to reach out to those in need globally and to further God’s kingdom
